All of the fuchsias that are listed are hardy or are hardy with protection (needs to be mulched). Cuttings are taken on plants that have wintered in our area. Fuchsias like light, they do the best in filtered or morning sun, they will grow in full sun if they have ample water. In heavy shade they will not bloom as soon and not as heavy. When planting a fuchsia in the ground, they need to be planted 4-6 inches deeper than they have been grown in their pots. The first winter, mulching will help pull them through the first winter. The first winter is the hardest, once established you will be able to enjoy them for years.
